About US

The Trident Wealth Group is a diversified financial services company offering a comprehensive suite of solutions across insurance, investments, tax, and business consulting.

Our flagship entity, Trident Wealth Management, was founded a decade ago and has since grown into one of the largest Old Mutual franchises nationally. It forms the cornerstone of our group, providing clients with trusted financial planning and investment expertise.

Supporting this is Trident Consult, our business consulting arm, which delivers tailored management and operational advisory services to individuals and corporations seeking to enhance performance and strategic efficiency.

Prudential Tax complements our offering by ensuring our clients’ tax planning and compliance needs are expertly managed by our team of qualified tax practitioners and accountants.

Together, these entities create a powerful synergy — providing clients with a single point of contact for integrated financial and business solutions, enabling them to manage and grow their wealth and enterprises seamlessly under one roof.

FAQ

Insurers use a process called underwriting to assess risk and determine premiums. The calculation is based on several factors, depending on the type of insurance:
  • For auto insurance: Your driving history, the make and model of your car, where you live, and your claims history.
  • For health insurance: Your age, health status, and coverage level.
  • For life insurance: Your age, health, and lifestyle habits (e.g., smoking).

A financial needs analysis (FNA) is a comprehensive assessment of your current financial situation to help plan for future goals. It involves a financial advisor gathering detailed information about your income, expenses, assets, and liabilities to understand your financial health and objectives, such as retirement, insurance, and estate planning. The goal is to create a customized financial plan that addresses any shortfalls or risks and aligns with your specific needs and risk tolerance.
Key aspects of a financial needs analysis
  • Current financial overview:
The analysis assesses your income, assets (like savings, investments, and property), and liabilities (such as debts and loans).
  • Future goals:
It helps define and quantify your short- and long-term financial goals, which can include retirement, providing for dependants, or saving for a large purchase.
  • Risk assessment:
It evaluates your risk tolerance to ensure that any investment strategies or products recommended are suitable for you.
  • Product evaluation:
The analysis identifies gaps in your current financial products, such as life insurance or disability cover, and determines which ones you can realistically afford.
  • Tailored financial plan:
Based on the gathered information, a personalized plan is created with specific steps to help you reach your goals efficiently.
  • Ongoing process:
An FNA is not a one-time event. It should be reviewed and updated regularly to account for life changes and to ensure you remain on track.

If you do not name a beneficiary, the payout from your life insurance policy will be paid into your estate. This can delay the payment to your loved ones, as the funds will be subject to the standard estate winding-up process.

  • Comprehensive: Covers your vehicle for accidental damage, theft, and damage you cause to someone else's property.
  • Third Party, Fire, and Theft: Covers specified damage to your car (like fire damage or theft) and damage you cause to a third party's property. It does not cover accidental damage to your own car.
  • Third Party Only: Only covers damage you cause to other parties' property.
